Local government starts here. Town Hall serves as the centre of municipal governance and the administration of local elections in the District of Hope.

Local Government Elections

Local government elections give residents the opportunity to elect a Mayor and Council who will represent the community and make decisions on behalf of the District of Hope. Elected officials are responsible for establishing policies, setting strategic priorities, adopting bylaws, approving budgets, and guiding the delivery of municipal programs and services that support the community.

General local elections are held every four years throughout British Columbia, with the next election scheduled for October 2026. In the District of Hope, voters elect one (1) Mayor and six (6) Councillors to serve a four-year term on Council.
