Community Development supports responsible growth and development within the District of Hope. Whether you're building, subdividing property, starting a new business, applying for a development permit, or exploring land use regulations, Planning staff are here to help guide you through the process.
Planning is responsible for long-range community planning, land use management, development applications, and environmental initiatives. This includes Official Community Plan amendments, rezoning applications, development permits, development variance permits, subdivisions, Agricultural Land Reserve applications, and liquor licence referrals.
The Department works closely with residents, businesses, developers, and community organizations to provide information, review applications, and help identify solutions that support both individual projects and the long-term vision of the community.
