Grant-In-Aid Program Package
The District of Hope's Grant-In-Aid Program provides financial assistance to local non-profit organizations whose programs, activities, projects, and events contribute to the well-being of the community.
Grant funding is intended to support initiatives that benefit residents, encourage volunteerism, enhance community services, and strengthen the social, cultural, recreational, and charitable fabric of Hope and the surrounding area.
BEFORE YOU APPLY
Before submitting your application, please consider the following:
Confirm that your organization is a registered non-profit society serving the District of Hope area.
Review the Grant-In-Aid Policy and funding criteria.
Determine which funding category best aligns with your project or initiative.
Gather all required supporting documentation, including financial information and project details.
Submit your application before the annual deadline.
FUNDING CATEGORIES
Funding may be available under the following categories:
Seed Grants
For new agencies or societies in the formative stage. Funding may cover up to 50% of establishment costs and is available once.
Special Projects
For unique events, activities, or initiatives that provide a community benefit. Funding may be provided for up to three consecutive years or once every three years.
Special Capital Expenditures
For the purchase of necessary capital items. The District contribution may be up to 25% of the project cost, with the remaining funding provided through other sources.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
Applications must include:
A completed Grant-In-Aid Application Form
Current financial statements and budget information
A description of the proposed project, program, activity, or event
Information outlining the anticipated community benefit
Applications are reviewed by Council in accordance with the District's policies, criteria, and available funding.
APPLICATION DEADLINE
Applications must be received by October 15. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.
